These are not my tips. I found them online. I hope they help!
These surveys are not for everyone.
Most of these offers you’ll be asked to either sign up for something or purchase something. You will then be rewarded with Pogo gems.
But if you are into taking surveys and participating in offers for a reward (in this case, free gems), read on!

- First:
Only do surveys if you’re playing a game like PoppaZoppa or Yahtzee where there is significant downtime/waiting time during the game. It’s easy to click over to the other window and do the survey in small increments while you’re just waiting for the round or game to end anyway. This is rather easy for me as I am trying to rank out in PoppaZoppa at the moment and I keep activating the July mix and match badge to get 88 gems to keep me focused on small steps along the way. I have now won that badge 21 times and I’m in line to win a whopping EIGHT tokens the next time I complete the badge. (I’ll try not to spend them all in one place). One side note: every once in a while, you will be kicked out of a survey and receive 0 gems for ‘taking too long to answer’, but it seems to be pretty rare as most surveys apparently have no time limit. - Second:
Don’t rush through a survey, if you complete it too quickly, you will get 0 gems even if you fill out the whole thing truthfully. This is easy for me to do as I can only complete small bits of the survey during each Zoppa round, so by the time I’m done, I’ve taken a long time doing the survey. My own unprofessional opinion is that this is a safeguard Pogo has put in place to try to limit some people from just rushing through the surveys to try to get free gems. - Third:
Don’t lie on the surveys. If you notice at the top of every survey there is a disclaimer saying that if you enter invalid text in a textbox, Pogo can easily identify it and will not reward you with gems. As far as I can tell, this one has never applied to me because I’m not that type of person. I always take my time answering the surveys (as noted above) but even when I get to the questions, I always try to fill them out as fully and accurately as possible. Sometimes I wonder what they do with the data, but then I look at the free gems and my attention is diverted. - Fourth:
When the surveys are available varies widely. The only way to know is to repeatedly check the survey page to see if any new ones are there. If they are, I would recommend opening them as quickly as possible. Some seem to have very small windows where they are open or every once in a while, you may get a message saying that the quota has been fulfilled for that survey and it’s now closed. Also, new surveys don’t always pop up the first time you load the survey page, I usually hit refresh TEN times and if no surveys show up, and then I don’t check again for an hour or so.
Tips for Pogo Offers for Free Gems
Offers not requiring a credit card:
- First:
Some offers are easy to complete such as sign up for the Home Depot or ASPCA e-newsletter, all you have to do is go to their page and complete the sign up form. If you are worried about your inbox getting all cluttered up, just use one of your e-mail accounts that you don’t check regularly (you do have more than one e-mail account, right I have four at the moment, only 2 of which I use on a regular basis). - Second:
Carefully check the offers that say they don’t require a credit card. Some of them actually do require a credit card. - Third:
Carefully read any additional requirements that must be met in order to receive the gems from the offer. Some of the offers are to register with other sites that provide surveys and the offer (on Pogo’s page) will clearly say if you are required to register AND fill out one or two surveys. LoL, I should maybe point out that I teach college classes at night and that sounds like what I tell my kids all the time. Read and Re-read the directions, make sure you know what is being asked of you! Just like former Jets coach Herm Edwards once said: You play to win the game. Hello You play to win the game. In a similar manner: you are trying to get free gems from doing whatever the offer requires you to do. Hello You read the offer and carefully note what it is you must do to actually receive these gems.
Offers requiring a credit card:
- First:
Carefully look at the offer and analyze how much they are asking you to spend in order to get some random number of gems. Second, consider if you will actually use the item you are buying. - Second:
See if you would get more pogo gems by just buying them instead. For instance, there was a website offer a while back that said make any purchase and get x number of gems. Well, you could just go the website and find the cheapest thing there and buy it. See how much it would cost to instead to just buy the same number of gems outright. Or, some offers are ridiculously overpriced for the gems they award. Like you could buy a coffee maker (that costs $120) to only get something like 117 gems in return. Well excuse me, but if I spent $120 solely on gems, that would be a much better deal (and a ton more gems).
Now on the flip side, if you were already thinking about buying a coffee maker (or some other item), then it might be a good deal to get X number of gems as an added bonus for buying the coffee maker (or other item) from the website in the deal.
One other note about offers (which also applies to surveys now that I think of it): Usually in my experience, the gems appear almost instantly in your account. However, there can be times when it takes a while (sometimes a day) for the gems to be credited to your account. Again, make sure to read the survey or offer description, most will give you an estimate of how long it will take for you to get your reward, but sometimes it still takes longer. Patience, my young padawans.
